Most are thick 8vo, 40 vols. are are in contemporary red half-morocco over marbled boards w/ raised bands on spines, 1 is in original black cloth, & the remaining 13 are in original green cloth w/ gilt decoration to spine (morocco rubbed or worn through in a few places; several small abrasions; tips of some corners worn through; short split to leather at upper end of spine in 2 vols.; bump to upper edge of pp. in 2 vols.; sticker residue to front cover of black cloth-bound vol.; inner hinges of vols. in green cloth wobbly w/ a few cracked; dampstain to a corner of 1 volume, upper margin of boards & a short section of text block in another; 1 volume w/ apparent water damage to boards & pp. resulting in stiffness & wrinkling, though there is no obvious staining & text is perfectly legible; occasional browning to pp., heavy in a few vols.; overall, this set is very good minus to very good, w/ pp. very good or better).
